Wildflowers on Gooseberry Island taken June 19, 2006. I carry my camera with me when I fish and I typically fish in the pre-dawn through dawn hours. The reason I carry my camera is to help me enjoy the beauty of Westport during the winter months when it is too cold and the fish are all south. While I love a good hook-up, my primary reason for fishing is not to catch fish, but to enjoy the peace, solitude and beauty of Westport. Each day brings a different beauty from landscapes to grains of sand,. All things beautiful about Westport are threatened by the pressure our species puts on the land. Westport is particularly threatened by private development and environmental accidents at sea. It is my sincere hope that our children are able to see the same beauties in Westport that we see today. In the event that they don't I hope our photos are able to give some idea.l |
