6. 2007.008.016 - In the old countryside of Westport, Ma., there use to be many dairy farms. My Grandpaa told me about how all of the cow's milk was used for cheese, yogurt and all sorts of things. He also told me about how all the farmers in the area would grow huge amounts of corn, and harvest, then store, in the silos. During the winter, the cows would eat it for feed. Sadly, as you drive the back roads of Westport today many of these farms are non-existent. However, of the few that are left I have managed to capture one of them for this photo. Farm animals are a rarity, but there are a few goats. Many of these historical sightings remain true for generations to come.

19. 2019.58.001 - Photocopy of the founder of Nelson's Dairy - one set with the couple (Georgiana Abel Nelson and Charles Erold Nelson of Fall River) in winter jackets and another with them in more casual attire. Around the photocopies, information has been written about the company, including how they sold to several towns surrounding Fall River (specifically mentioning Westport and Little Compton) and about a promotion where each milk bottle would be crafted with a baby's face on the neck of the bottle where cream would collect.
